Chicago: The Windy City
The Chicago Cubs, Chicago Style Pizza, Sears Tower and Chicago Style Hot Dogs are just a few of the reasons Chicago is a top travel destination. This Midwestern city has a style all of its own and is why Frank Sinatra dedicated an entire song to Chicago (My Kind of Town). With the two large airports of O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) it's easy to find reasonable flights to Chicago. Traveling to Chicago is fun anytime of the year but each season offers its own unique experience.
Summer: Enjoy the many street festivals including the Taste of Chicago. Visit the friendly confines of Wrigley Field for a Cubs baseball game or travel to the south side of the city to see the White Sox play. Many also take in the sun, volleyball and people watching on North Beach.
Fall: The beautiful colors of the trees provide a spectacular backdrop to the start of the Chicago Bears football season. Bars in Bucktown, Old Towne and Lincoln Park are generally crammed on weekends with football fans and partygoers.
Winter: Complete your shopping as you stroll along the famous shops of Michigan Avenue. This “Magnificent Mile” is renowned for its beautiful winter light display.
Spring: Chicago's theatre district is alive at night this time of year. During the day the energy in the streets is palpable as residents embrace the sun and warmer weather.
